A 3+1 Vocational Education in Business Cooperation Protocol Was Signed Between Edremit Vocational School and Edremit Chamber of Commerce

A "3+1 Vocational Education in Business Cooperation Protocol" was signed between Balıkesir University Edremit Vocational School and the Edremit Chamber of Commerce to support students in applying their professional knowledge and skills in the business world.

The visit to the Edremit Chamber of Commerce for the signing of the protocol was attended by Ahmet ÇETİN, Chairman of the Board of Directors of the Edremit Chamber of Commerce; Recep AKGÜN, Secretary General; Prof. Dr. Gülşen AYDIN KESKİN, Director of Edremit Vocational School; and Lecturer Nuray UNAT, Assistant Director.

With the signed protocol, under the 3+1 Education Model, it is aimed to enable students to develop their theoretical knowledge and professional skills in real production and service environments, facilitate their access to enterprises suitable for their programs, establish a sustainable cooperation mechanism between the enterprises registered with the Edremit Chamber of Commerce and the Vocational School, and increase students' employability after graduation.

The protocol covers the Electrical, Mechatronics, Construction Technology, and Machinery Programs, where the Vocational Education in Business application is carried out at Edremit Vocational School. Within the scope of this cooperation, it is targeted to determine student quotas on a program basis from member businesses of the Edremit Chamber of Commerce, create a candidate workplace pool consisting of suitable enterprises, and match students with businesses relevant to their professional fields.

Valid for five years, the protocol is expected to contribute to strengthening university-industry cooperation, enhancing practical education opportunities for students, and enabling local businesses to access a qualified workforce.
