A Director-Student Meeting Was Held at Edremit Vocational School

Prof. Dr. Gülşen AYDIN KESKİN, Director of Edremit Vocational School, met with our students on Tuesday, October 20, 2026, at 10:00 AM in the Edremit Vocational School Conference Hall.

As part of the Director-Student Meeting, discussions were held regarding education and training processes, course delivery, examination procedures, practical training, laboratory and workshop facilities, academic advisory services, and TÜBİTAK 2209 project applications.

During the meeting, student views and requests were also addressed concerning physical infrastructure and learning environments, such as classrooms, common areas, internet and technical facilities, the cafeteria, dining hall, cleanliness, and transportation.

To support the social and cultural development of students, views were exchanged on establishing student clubs, organizing sports tournaments, and increasing social, cultural, and athletic events.

Under the career development heading, internship and workplace training processes, the 3+1 Vocational Education in Business Model, technical trips, meetings with sector representatives, career events, and post-graduation employment opportunities were evaluated. Students were also informed about potential courses and certificate programs that could be opened in cooperation with the Public Education Center.

In the second part of the meeting, students were informed about the MEDEK accreditation process and quality assurance studies, emphasizing the importance of active student participation in decision-making and quality improvement processes. The evaluation of student feedback, student satisfaction, communication with management, and request-suggestion mechanisms were also discussed.

The meeting concluded after listening to the problems, views, suggestions, and requests of our students, followed by a joint evaluation of priority demands and areas open to improvement.

Furthermore, certificates of appreciation were presented to the students who took part in our Vocational School’s stand at the 3rd Festolive Edremit Olive Oil Tasting Festival, acknowledging their contributions and dedicated work during the event.

Our efforts to strengthen student participation at our Vocational School and to continuously improve education and training processes in line with student feedback will continue.
