What is MEDEK?
MEDEK stands for the Association for Evaluation and Accreditation of Vocational Education. Founded in 2021, the association's official website is:
In 2023, the association was authorized by the Higher Education Quality Council (YÖKAK) to provide accreditation for 83 vocational school programs. This authorization ensures that vocational programs are evaluated for their compliance with established standards, quality criteria, and performance benchmarks.
Mission
To contribute to the improvement of education and training quality by providing information, external evaluation, and accreditation services for associate degree programs.
Vision
To be a leading organization that certifies quality by defining the education, research activities, and administrative processes of associate degree programs—as well as the quality of intermediate workforce—according to national and international standards, and sharing these results with relevant institutions.
Purpose
To lead the development of vocational professionals who follow industry developments, respond to changing labor market needs, possess high vocational skills and equipment, are innovative, carry social responsibility, can take initiative, and are highly sought after by their respective sectors.
